For the sake of making fun builds
I don't know if threads like these have been created before, if so another one doesn't hurt anyone, I gues. Also, move to appropriate section of necessary, I have no clue where to put it. -Suggestions just doesn't feel right because it's based on viewer-input aswell-
PvP is dead, noone here would (should) deny that. It's even been acknowledged by Anet by cheapening so many titles, including HoM reqs, and even more recently by John Stumme. Squeeze every single bit of fun you can out of GW1 before GW2 comes around. That should be the agenda for Anet at this very moment.
And with that in the back of my mind, I was thinking about cool skills changes which would create fun/amusing/original (even though degenerative) metas or never seen before gimmicks. Why? Just for the crack, just to see how different the game could be with different metas, etc...
So I made this thread for people to suggest interesting skill changes to currently useless skills so that they have their own, fun niche builds. Game balance should be left (almost) completely out of the picture, because I don't think it really matters anymore. When posting, you can either discuss proposed skill changes or suggest one yourself.
So go ahead, post those builds you've always wanted to make, but you found out you're always missing just that one skill/effect/mechanic to make it work, now's your chance.
I'll start off with Repeating Strike: Off-Hand Attack. Deals +10...26...30 damage. This skill has +15 second recharge time if it misses. Must follow an off-hand attack.
Change: Change activation time to 1/2 second.
This would allow me to run a D/A build involving Reaper's Sweep (to knock them down) and Rending Aura (to have attack skills remove enchantments from knocked down foes) where the Dervish would be just spamming Repeating Strike over and over and over again on a knockdown foe, pumping reasonable DPS aswell as stripping all prots.
